Shrieve Products Company, Inc. and the Shrieve Chemicals Group is delighted to welcome John Blalock as our first Laboratory/Technical Manager for the rapidly expanding Specialty Products Division of Shrieve Chemical Products, Inc.

John's primary focus will be on technical support for the Zerol™ and Progiline™  product lines, as well as other existing and potential products under the SPD umbrella including Thermolube™ development.  In addition to his SPD responsibilities John will be spending some of his time in providing support to our Oilfield Products Division.

John has been working with BetzDearborn right here in The Woodlands doing R&D and customer service for their:  cold flow improvers, stability additives, refinery and high temperature corrosion inhibitors, H2S scavengers and lubricity additives.

Previously John worked several years with Pennzoil, also in The Woodlands.  He worked in a number of areas including:  Automotive and industrial products formulation, testing and development; development and operation of tribological test equipment (friction/wear, oxidation/sludge, elasto-hydrodynamic, high temp and proprietary); competitor product evaluations and friction modifier research; coordinated and supervised engine and fleet testing programs;  Assistant Technical Coordinator for Pennzoil Racing (formulated proprietary products for racing teams and provided technical service); Safety Committee standards author.

Before joining Pennzoil John was with E.G.&G. Automotive Research working with engine test stands and ancillary systems; working on proprietary client test development; doing hardware evaluation and metrology services; and working on fleet testing hardware and specialized equipment.

John also ran his own plumbing and fleet contracting business for a number of years and early in his career spent about 6 years in the Navy specializing in welding and working with all sorts of equipment and machinery.

John has four children and his wife works right around the corner from us at Lamar Elementary School. We are very pleased to have John Blalock joining our team!

Shrieve Products Company, Inc is delighted to welcome Al Campion as our new Senior Account Manager for the Specialty Products Division of Shrieve Chemical Products, Inc.

Al will be assuming the sales responsibilities for the majority of our major refrigeration oil and dielectric fluid accounts. He will also be putting major emphasis on developing new business areas for SCP such as the silicone sealant, plasticisers, and the metalworking markets. Al will be working from his home in the Dallas area, and he will be traveling to the Shrieve offices and into the field as needed. Al has a great deal of experience in sales, sales management and overall business development/management. He has worked for several specialty chemical and equipment manufacturers including Magnus Chemical, Oakite Products and Texo Corporation.  During his tenure at Oakite, Al built on a successful start in direct account management to advance into regional sales management and international sales management positions. One of his roles involved relocating to Mexico to take over and turn around an unprofitable $4 million division in Mexico / South America. Within 14 months Al had completely restructured and relocated the sales operations within Mexico, hired and trained 22 sales professionals, and returned the unit to profitability.

The majority of Al's experience is in the metalworking arena, with emphasis on the Automotive, Coil, Food, HVAC and General industries. Al has built an impressive track record of exceeding all sales goal expectations and has been the recipient of numerous performance awards. He is looking forward to tackling the challenges of growing and diversifying our Specialty Products Division here at Shrieve.
