Shrieve Chemical Products (SCP) has manufactured and marketed ZEROL^® refrigeration oil and other alkylbenzene based product lines from the U.S. since 1988.  With the acquisition of the European based heavy alkylbenzene ZEROL^® refrigeration oil and PROGILINE^™ industrial fluid lines (formerly handled by Chevron Chemical S.A., France), SCP and SPI will combine forces as the worldwide leader in alkylbenzene based refrigeration oils.  SPI will also become a platform to introduce select Shrieve Oilfield Chemicals into the North Sea and other offshore markets.

SPI will be a dedicated UK based marketing office providing the Shrieve standard of customer service known worldwide.   Phil Beckler of Shrieve Chemical Products has assumed the position of Managing Director for SPI.   Joining the Shrieve family in Europe are Jeanne McDermott as Customer Services Coordinator and Lisa Méline as Operations and Support Services Coordinator.  With their multi-lingual skills and range of experience, Jeanne and Lisa are well equipped to handle all the details from order placement to on-time delivery.

On January 10, 2000 two additional members were added to the Shrieve Products International Ltd. team.  David Astles as Business Development Manager.   On the same day Ranko Pilic  joined the SPI team as a Sales Manager.

A Related Development

SHRIEVE EXPANDS PARTNERSHIP WITH NMOC

In a related development, Shrieve Chemical Products (SCP) has expanded its partnership with Nippon Mitsubishi Oil Company (NMOC). For several years, SCP and NMOC have shared technology and cooperated in the advancement of specialized alkylbenzene, glycol, and ester based refrigeration fluids. The Shrieve/NMOC partnership, currently focused on the Americas, will now be enlarged to cover the European sector through Shrieve’s UK based subsidiary, Shrieve Products International, Ltd. (SPI).

Shrieve and NMOC have introduced novel technology such as the use of low viscosity alkylbenzene refrigeration fluids with HFC refrigerants in select refrigeration and air-conditioning applications.  Other current projects include new lower cost ester technology and uniquely formulated glycols for mobile air-conditioning.
