Shrieve Chemical Company is a marketing company which was founded in 1978 by Jim Shrieve.  In 2004, Shrieve Chemical Company sold more than 650,000 tons of products, utilizing several sulfuric acid producers domestically.  Sulfuric acid, our primary product, accounts for approximately 75% of our total volume with sulfur, anhydrous ammonia, nitric acid, acetic acid, ammonium sulfate, Hydrofluosilicic acid, Ammonium hydroxide, and caustic soda comprising the rest.

Since our beginning we have grown from 3 to more than 30 employees.  This growth is attributed to not only Shrieve Chemical, but our subsidiary company, Shrieve Chemical Products, which markets specialty chemical products such as dielectric oils, compressor oils, and drilling fluid additives.  Shrieve Chemical accounted for about 70% of our total combined sales of more than $60,000,000 in 2004, with Shrieve Chemical Products contributing 30% of the total.

Our corporate office and customer service group is located in The Woodlands, TX, which is 25 miles north of Houston.  Here, in addition to our centralized customer service/order department, we also manage our rail car fleet, which currently consists of 600 cars.  Our additional shipping modes of tank trucks and barges are also coordinated here.
