Since 1995, we have worked closely with leaders in the drilling fluids, cementing and fracturing businesses globally to develop additives that enhance drilling operations and improve well productivity. Today, our business is being driven by two main business centres located in Houston and Aberdeen. Primary research and development is carried out at our Technical Centre also located in Houston.
The ever-increasing environmental demands of the offshore industry require suppliers to understand and comply with legislation and environmental systems for many specific geographical areas. Shrieve is proactive in its approach to legislative requirements whether it is for the US EPA, the CHARM and REACH classifications for the European market, or through other required approvals, including Scandinavia, West Africa and the Middle East.
New product development is a key for success in the oilfield market and our R&D chemists deliver new and more efficient products to the industry on a consistent basis. We also embrace a strategy of co-development with our customers’ chemists to design formulations that meet specific requirements. This co-operative arrangement has proven to be very effective.
Another area of our OFC portfolio is the expansion into the fracturing and stimulation markets together with offering a complete line of well cementing additives and corrosion inhibitors. From well ‘spud in’ to the production enhancement process of well optimisation, our business continues to develop and deliver high performance products around the globe.
