BREAKERS

Shrieve provides a range of gel breakers that are utilized in both crosslinked guar and slickwater stimulation applications. They reduce the viscosity of the fracturing fluid, allowing placement of proppant, improving flowback, and maintaining fracture conductivity.

ShrieveBreak 1000

An aqueous blend of a strong oxidizing (non persulfate) breaker for polyacrylamide-based slick water and guar gum based fracturing fluids. This product provides a slower break time to the gelled fluid than typical oxidizing breakers. This allows the fracturing fluid to maintain its viscosity longer and carry proppant further into the formation. ShrieveBreak 1000 is effective at temperatures above 200°F (93°C) and can be used with a breaker activator below 200°F (93°C).

ShrieveBreak 1001HT

An encapsulated oxidizer for use as a delayed release breaker for guar and guar derivative based fracturing fluids. The slow release of the oxidizer allows higher breaker concentrations to be used without compromising the fluid rheology and proppant transport capability. ShrieveBreak 1001 is effective at temperatures from 150 to 225°F (66 to 107°C).

ShrieveBreak 1001LT

An encapsulated oxidizer for use as a delayed release breaker for guar and guar derivative based fracturing fluids. The slow release of the oxidizer allows higher breaker concentrations to be used without compromising the fluid rheology and proppant transport capability. ShrieveBreak 1001LT is effective at temperatures below 150°F (66°C).

ShrieveBreak 1001MT

An encapsulated oxidizer for use as a delayed release breaker for guar and guar derivative based fracturing fluids. The slow release of the oxidizer allows higher breaker concentrations to be used without compromising the fluid rheology and proppant transport capability. ShrieveBreak 1001MT is effective at temperatures from 130 to 170°F (54 to 77°C).

ShrieveBreak 1002

Powdered oxidizer for use as a breaker for guar and guar derivative based fracturing fluids. It is effective at temperatures from 130 to 200°F (54.4 to 93.3°C) and provides a fast break to reduce the viscosity and allow flow back of the fracturing fluid.

ShrieveBreak 1105

A concentrated, aqueous blend of a strong oxidizing (non persulfate) breaker for polyacrylamide-based slick water fracturing fluids. It is run “on the fly” and provides a slower break to the fracturing fluid without interfering with the friction reduction properties. ShrieveBreak 1105 can be used in clean up and post clean up well operations and is effective over a wide temperature range.

ShrieveBreak 1107

An aqueous blend of a strong oxidizing (non-persulfate) breaker for polyacrylamide-based slick water fracturing fluids. It is run “on the fly” and provides a slower break to the fracturing fluid without interfering with the friction reduction properties. ShrieveBreak 1107 can be used in clean up and post clean up well operations and is effective over a wide temperature range.

ShrieveBreak 1110

An aqueous-based oxidizing breaker for polysaccharide derivative-based gelled fracturing fluids. It is effective in crosslinked guar based fluids from 185 to 260°F (85 to 127°C) and over a pH range of 6 to 12. ShrieveBreak 1110 oxidizes the gel polymer to reduce the viscosity, allow proppant placement, and allow flowback of the treatment fluid.

ShrieveBreak 2000M

An aqueous blend of a strong oxidizing (non persulfate) breaker for polyacrylamide-based slick water and guar gum based fracturing fluids. This product provides a slower break time to the gelled fluid than typical oxidizing breakers. This allows the fracturing fluid to maintain its viscosity longer and carry proppant further into the formation. ShrieveBreak 2000M is effective at temperatures above 200°F (93°C) and can be used with a breaker activator below 200°F (93°C).
