Hydrogen sulfide (H2S) is deadly and causes serious health threats even at low concentrations. Operational problems caused by H2S can include severe corrosion and fouling, and injection well plugging with iron sulfides. Hydrogen sulfide (H2S) is a toxic and pungent gas that causes problems in both the upstream and downstream oil and gas industry. 

Hydrogen sulfide (H2S) and other acid gases like CO2 can be a natural component within reservoirs, or may form as a result of bacterial action on sulfur compounds in produced water. H2S can form insoluble salts that foul lines, block filters and cause damage in injection wells.

Shrieve are also working on novel H2S treatment chemistry that neutralizes H2S without creating any scale deposition.

ShrieveScav 8000

A water-soluble triazine blend formulated to remove hydrogen sulfide (H2S) from production systems. It is effective in bubble tower applications and continuous injections into wellhead transmission lines. The by-products from the H2S reaction are water-soluble and easily removed with the water in the system.

SCP HS 8005

A liquid, oil-soluble, hydrogen sulfide (H2S) scavenger that is effective at removing H2S from condensate, crude oil, and gas systems. It reacts rapidly to permanently remove H2S and form stable, oil-soluble products. SCP HS 8005 can be applied using various methods depending on the system.
