PARAFFIN WAX & ASPHALTENE INHIBITORS
Shrieve's solutions help address the challenges of treating, mitigating, and inhibiting paraffin waxes and asphaltene deposits. Paraffins and asphaltenes are found in all heavy crude oil but the characteristics of each crude oil vary from one geography to the next. Inhibitors prevent the agglomeration of crystals to prevent the buildup in production tubing and equipment. Solvents are used to disperse and remove paraffin buildup.
Asphaltenes and paraffin waxes can inhibit or block production from the well, foul transportation lines, and form unwanted deposits in storage tanks. The challenge of how to treat, mitigate and even avoid the build-up of paraffin waxes and asphaltene deposits has been a long running battle for Oilfield Production worldwide. The solutions range through a spectrum from simple solvent treatments, the addition of heat, application of pressure, through to bespoke wellsite treatments, from the major Production chemical companies.

An oil-soluble paraffin inhibitor that can be used to formulate pour point depressants and wax dispersants. It is a flow control agent for paraffinic crude oils and is an effective paraffin inhibitor and asphaltene inhibitor for downhole and oilfield production operations. ShrievePara 9030 forms a complex with paraffin solids and controls particle size, thus reducing downhole deposition problems.
An oil-soluble paraffin inhibitor that is effective for the prevention of paraffin and asphaltene buildup in downhole and oilfield production operations. It forms a complex with paraffin solids and controls particle size, thus reducing downhole deposition problems.
SCP MS 5501
